Affiliation With AKA
Hello, after speaking with the 3 owners of Alpha Knight Academy, they have agreed to affiliate with us. Hopefully, this will mean we can get more members and people who can test, meaning more recruitment can take place, etc.. I wish them the best of luck, and I look forward to a prosperous partnership.

Thu Aug 28, 2014 6:38 pm by Why so serious ?
Sorry guys I haven't been there in "ages" but I'm back. Well kinda.
I might try to post a fun stuff within the next few days.
Also, can't wait for necloths and spirit beasts ^^
Also school starts soon for me and when it does I won't have much time at all. I could be on like one day a week. Still better than nothing like the past few days I guess.

This time for sure (playlist and points)
Fri Jun 27, 2014 1:43 am by Why so serious ?
So now we actually finally have a playlist.

The rules (which are subject to change, I still haven't talk to Lryu about it) :
-You can pay 2000 points to add a song to the playlist
-If 5 people want the same song to be removed, we'll have a vote poll in which only one of these persons can vote (anyone) and where the one who submitted the song cannot.
-If 10 or more people want the same song to be …

PostSubject: Yugayo rulings :< : Hieratic sun dragon overlord of heliopolis aka... Heliopolis   Tue Sep 10, 2013 3:55 pm

I will tell how did one duel I just had go, and when the ruling issue was. I know it is a prety pointy ruling, that's why I am posting it. Don't worry, I will explain everything. Read well Luna, I know you and your puppets really like Heliopolis, it could help you :] And everyone else, well, it can help you as well, you never know Razz

So I was duelling someone. He had set a monster face down and three s/t then end turn (he had already one on the field). He had 4200 hp left.

I had Dragon Ravine, Drascension the supreme sky dragon with 4000 atk and Felgrand the divine dragon knight.

I used Ravine, discarded blaster to send redox to the grave. I had maxx c, veiler and debris dragon in hand left. I used blaster, banishing redox and tidal. I added mythic wood dragon and mythic water dragon to hand.

He immediately used bottomless on blaster. I could have used felgrand to protect it, but it didn't matter, so I let it go through.

I normal summoned mythic wood dragon (level 4) and used mythic water dragon's eff to special summon itself from my hand (level 8, you can special summon it when you control an earth monster, as mythic wood dragon). Neither of them can be bottomlessed, and last time I did that, I went for felgrand who doesn't care about bottomless. He didn't really missplayed by activating bottomless on blaster. But this time I went for Heliopolis.

So at this point, he had three backrows and a set monster. He was playing battlin boxers, so I didn't "fear" the set monster at all. I had three monsters in hand, ravine, drascension, felgrand and heliopolis.

I can tell you what thebacrows were. There was one starlight road, one mirror force and one lance.

He must have felt pretty safe, at least for the turn, although my felgrand still had one material left (the other one was used to get rid of yoke, negate yoke's eff much ? Razz).

I used heliopolis' eff, detach one, and target the three monsters in my hand and felgrand as tribute fodder. Which is four monsters. I obviously targetting his entire field. Yes, Heliopolis is a berserk.

But there is the ruling issue. He chained starlight road (he would have lost his entire field, he had 4200 hp left, and I had 9800 damage on board - and a live tempest, but that's beside the point. So even at full life, with setting three s/t and a monster it is a heavy otk.) But here is the thing, I said he can't activate starlight road. You can guess he got mad, calling me noob and all kinds of name. Then I told him to ask an admin and he rage quit (after asking Razz).

Yes. You can NEVER chain starlight road to heliopolis. Never, and I will explain why.

Heliopolis states "2 Level 8 monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; Tribute any number of monsters from your hand and/or your side of the field (minimum 1), then destroy an equal number of cards on the field."

Starlight road states "When a card or effect is activated that destroys 2 or more cards you control: Negate the activation, and if you do, destroy that card, then you can Special Summon 1 "Stardust Dragon" from your Extra Deck."

So when I activate Heliopolis, you don't know how much monsters I will tribute, and if I tribute 2 or more, you don't know if I will destroy 2 or more of YOUR cards, since I can destroy my own stuff with heliopolis. The important point though, is that tributing IS NOT A COST for Heliopolis (the cost for heliopolis, is only to detach one material), so at activation I still haven't tribute any monsters with heliopolis. Starlight road negates the activation of a card that you know will pop 2 or more  of your cards, ON activation. Since you don't know (i haven't tribute any monsers at this time), the timing isn't correct for starlight, and you can't chain it to heliopolis' eff. Yes. Heliopolis can nuke a field through starlight (or even huge revo for that matter) :<

A card that will not always destroy 2 or more cards of your opponent, but that can and decides that number ON activation, will be stopped by starlight/huge revo. Cards as XX-saber Hyunlei or Mobius the frost Monarch for instance, IF they target 2 or more cards. But Heliopolis doesn't care. Nor does Time wizard for instance. Because on time wizard's activation, you don't know whose monsters will die. However if each player has at least two mosters on board, you can activate huge revo to counter time wizard (becasue you know at least two cards will die), but never starlight (because on activation, you don't know if you will lose two or more cards). Heliopolis if indeed, lots of fun :]

So remember this Luna, if someone want to chain starlight to you nuking their field with heliopolis, you are allowed to laugh at them, and still nuke theie fiels, without caring Wink
